Set on Wergaia Country, just 500 metres from the heart of Hopetoun, Victoria, Lake Lascelles Cabins and Camping offers a truly special outback escape — perfect for both the weary traveller and the adventurous spirit. Our award-winning, cabin-style accommodation reflects the rugged charm of the Mallee, with corrugated iron, timber accents, and simple, sturdy lines that honour the region’s pioneering farming heritage.

When early settlement of this region began in 1846, waters from the Yarriambiack Creek emptied into the terminal lakes of Lake Corrong, Lake Lascelles and beyond in times of heavy rains.

Lake Lascelles relies heavily on donations to ensure that our lake remains full, camp grounds stay well maintained and are continuously upgraded and so we can run events such as New Years Eve for people to enjoy and for groups and businesses to benefit of. Any donations are greatly appreciated!
