Water skiing 

The Lake Lascelle’s boat ramp is conveniently located at the end of Austin Street with safe parking alongside. Boating rules and regulations are on display near the boat ramp.

Fishing 

Lake Lascelles and the adjacent Willow Lake, are very popular fishing spots with Victorian Fisheries Authority regularly topping the lake up with a variety of fish including Redfin, Cod, Brim, Catfish and Yellow Belly. Bait can be purchased in town, 6 days a week.

Trails

Lake Corrong is 11 kms in circumference. It is easily accessed from the Southern end of Lake Lascelles, or from 2 Mile Road on the Henty Highway on the Southern outskirts of Hopetoun.

Walk the circuit, ride many of the rustic trails throughout the unique landscape of this terminal lake.

Enjoy a spell at the Lake Corrong Bird Hide and see some amazing animal and birdlife. Don't forget to visit the artificial pond.

Bird Watching

Mallee bird life is abundant all around the lake and can be very rewarding for all year-round bird watching and photography. Willow Lake has many species of Waterfowl and Fairy Wren. Lake Corrong can be very active with Raptors, Honeyeaters, Mallee endemic species or birds migrating to the sanctuary of the surrounds for annual breeding.

Swimming

The pristine waters of Lake Lascelles allows for an awesome day in the water.  The lake has designated swimming areas which are located on the banks of The Mallee Bush Retreat.
